Legislative Requirement

Tank owners and managers, did you know that there is a legislative requirement to inspect the interior of the tank every four years? Every 12 years the legislation requires the tank be drained. Below is a direct quote of section 12.4 of NZ4541-2020: "Water supply tanks shall be drained at 12-yearly intervals and then inspected internally and externally for absence of corrosion and ongoing serviceability…”

No Need to Drain Tank

Our service removes the requirement to drain your tank. We use underwater drones that provide us with more than enough detail to satisfy what is known as the alternative inspection requirements. .

We will provide reporting notes in detail the internal conditions seen on the day of the inspection such as water clarity, sedimentation and other relevant points related to the legislation. Blocked, damaged or absent strainer screens, foreign objects and extreme low water levels are more common than you might think. .
